Managing Notifications with Alert Roles

Found under the message in the #introduction channel, 'Alert Roles' allow you to customize your Cop A Pop experience to make sure you are only notified of release information you are interested in. Each emoji is connected to a Role, which has its own specific topic, such as Funko or Comic Books. Add & remove roles anytime simply by clicking the emoji in #introduction. Alert Roles allow us to target release posts to you based on your interests. You should turn on all notifications for a channel when we are expecting a big release from that retailer if we do not have the early link posted as Alert Roles are admin-triggered or attached to a keyword, and keywords may not be added for surprise releases.

Cop A Pop Pro Tip: We use the Roles you assign yourself in #introduction to ping you when a keyword for that alert role is triggered. Additionally, I may manually tag a Role if I deem a release not urgent enough to notify the entire group about it.

Notification Tips

There will be random releases that I do not have keywords added for in all channels from time to time.

You can benefit from keeping on all notifications for certain channels when a release is expected from that retailer. Once an item is loaded into our monitor, we recommend using the Restock Direct Messages feature in Cop A Pop so that you only receive notifications for that specific item. This feature is detailed in the following section.
