This is a quick introduction to notifications, not a replacement for reading the whole guide.

General Notifications Setup

Swipe right to show the channel sidebar, at the top of the sidebar click the server name 'Cop A Pop Collective'. now click โ€˜Notificationsโ€™ on the pop-up menu, adjust your settings as shown below (adjust how you please): NOTE: โ€˜Server Notification Settingsโ€™ should be โ€˜Only @mentionsโ€™ to avoid spammy messages

Notification Settings Window, it is important that you turn on Mobile Push Notifications. Your setup should appear as shown here.

Channel Specific Notifications Setup

Scroll down the Notification Settings window to Notification Overrides. There are a few channels you should turn on All Messages for, these are channels that host important updates as well as surprise releases and restocks. Mimic the setup as shown below, excluding release channels you're not interested in, for instance if you don't like comics, don't turn on all messages for #comic-releases. Add channels that you are interested in receiving all messages for as well, but keep in mind these can produce bothersome notifications so we suggest using Restock DMs and Alert Roles to avoid having all notifications on for a lot of channels (more on these tools later).

You can return to the Notification Overrides section anytime to see what channels you have turned notifications on for. You can set your notification settings directly from each channel, and may forget which you have turned on, so if they become bothersome, return to this window and see all the channels you've set notification settings for, so that you can remove the bothersome channels without having to go to each channel's settings.

Important Channels

As shown above, these are the important channels we suggest all notifications on for, we will break down these channels below.

Information Channels: The Information channels #announcements, #funko-releases, #pokemon-card-releases, #sports-card-releases, #comic-releases, #resell-flips, and #resell-flips-2 are where we post Release Information for each respective category. Feel free to leave channels to 'Mentions Only' if you're not interested in that category. We don't suggest turning off all notifications for any of these channels in the event we have a profitable release that may arise in a category you're not necessarily interested in. The names are self explanatory, separated based on item type (funko or comics, etc), but we will break down a few non-specific channels below.

#announcements: This channel is used for important Cop A Pop announcements such as new features or important messages about upcoming releases. It is important to keep all notifications on for this channel at all times.

#resell-flips: This channel is a compilation of all the items that don't necessarily have a category. We cover Hot Wheels Releases in this channel as well as other profitable items, that may not necessarily be collectible. You can turn this channel to 'Mentions Only' and if you have picked up the Hot Wheels Role (more on Roles in the next section), you will only be notified of Hot Wheels Release info posted in this channel.

#resell-flips-2: Same purpose as #resell-flips except this channel has additional coverage from separate Cop A Pop staff. The two channels are separated because they may cover separate but similar releases, and this allows items to not get lost in the feed of all profitable items being posted in a singular channel.
